Heavenly Havoc! - A Webtoon Prototype

A webtoon prototype project about an angel who falls from heaven and ends up working as a personal assistant to the Devil. The protagonist, Kallista, has three outfits: One for when she starts out in heaven, one when she is a personal assistant to the Devil, and one when she is off the clock.

Concept Art

I worked on her outfits simultaneously to keep their looks cohesive in their color palette. I made three five-point turnarounds for Kallista's outfit. First is her celestial outfit which was used in the illustration, second is her "off the clock" look, and third is her business attire for when she is working as an assistant to the Devil

Kallista Outfit 01 Turnaround (2022)

The first outfit for Kallista's turnaround, this is her in her 'angelic' attire. I wanted angels in this story to look like superheroes, as I was inspired by Justice League, Young Justice, and Teen Titans at the time.

Kallista Outfit 02 Turnaround (2022)

The second outfit for Kallista's turnaround, this is her in her casual attire. I wanted to keep the blue, white, and gold consistent in all three outfits, so in her casual outfit she's wearing a blue cardigan and a yellow T-shirt.

Kallista Outfit 03 Turnaround (2022)

The third outfit for Kallista's turnaround, this is her in her business clothes when she is the personal assistant to the Devil. I wanted to keep the blue, white, and gold consistent in all three outfits, so in her business outfit she's wearing a blue mockneck shirt and white wide leg pants.

These are my thumbnails for Kallista's business outfit. I knew I wanted her to have wide leg pants, so I worked on what top would look best on her in a professional setting while retaining her personality.

Thumbnails - Angelic (2022)

These are my thumbnails for Kallista's angelic outfit. I played with the idea of her having fabric wrapped around her like how angels were depicted in the Renaissance, but I wanted to try to take her attire in a more superhero direction to provide a twist on how angels had been depicted until now.
